DreamTale RP is an 18+ Server If you are under the age of 18, you cannot play here. Any character(s) you create must be 18+

You are required to have a working microphone when in-game. (Once Hytale implements voice) Our server is NA and the language is English.

The rules stated below are subject to change at any time. This is a new experience for most people and naturally we will have to adjust as time goes on. Anything not currently stated in the rules may be handled on a case by case basis under the discretion of staff. If you are unsure about any of the rules stated below or have any questions, be sure to create a ticket in our Discord for further assistance.

Do not direct message staff on Discord

• All World issues are to be handled within Discord. Do not DM staff regarding your ticket on discord or in game.

Disrespecting Staff Members

• Any form of disrespect towards a staff member will not be tolerated
• If a staff member is currently assisting you with an issue or concern, we ask that you please be respectful and patient

Do not approach staff in-world as their RP characters are separate from their staff positions, and this is immersion breaking not only for staff, but the others around them as well. If assistance is needed, please open a ticket. Do not @ staff in the discord.

Please understand if tickets and other things take time. The staff team is made up of volunteers who strive to make this a better environment.

ZERO TOLERANCE

Violating any of the rules below will result in a permanent ban without appeal

• Targeted bullying or ban baiting of any community member in-game or Discord
• Exploiting/Cheating/Hacking or use of any 3rd party software. Including crosshair mods
• Discrimination, racism, sexual/non-sexual harassment, sexism, abelist slurs, use of racist or homophobic slurs, or vulgar sexual language/actions.
• Unwarranted non-consensual stalking/predatory behavior towards any member of the community. See ROLEPLAY SCENARIO section for more details.
• Advertisement of other communities or servers within Discord channels or in-game.

BANNED CONTENT

A. Explicit or Graphic Material

• Pornography or nudity
• Sexual content
• Extreme violence or gore
• Shock content

B. Hate & Harassment

• Hate speech or slurs
• Harassment or threats
• Extremist content
• Discrimination

C. Illegal Content

• Child exploitation (ZERO TOLERANCE)
• Criminal instructions
• Drug trafficking content
• Terrorism-related material

D. Fraud & Malware

• Viruses, malware, or exploits
• Phishing or scams

Breaking these rules = immediate permanent ban.

Reporting players

Witness a rule violation? Don’t address it in character or use OOC chat.

1. Instead, create a ticket to report it.
2. Allow the situation to fully unfold before submitting a ticket.
3. Announcing a rule breach during the event is considered Fail RP.
4. For the ticket, include video clips, screenshots, or player IDs to assist the investigation.

OUT-OF-CHARACTER (OOC) RULES

Metagaming is strictly prohibited, This includes, but is not limited to;

• Stream Sniping (Via Twitch, Facebook, or Youtube stream etc). This means watching someone’s stream while in the DreamWorld for an unfair advantage in a scene.
• Using outside information related to the Dreamworld or other characters that your character did not learn within the World. EX: posting pictures in Discord.

IN-GAME RULES

*Any violation of the rules below will result in a specific ban via staff discretion.

Combat Logging ‌during‌ ‌any‌ ‌roleplay‌ ‌situation‌ to avoid an interaction ‌is considered an exploitation and is prohibited. If you are disconnected, inform those involved via the disconnections channel in the DC.

RDM - Random Death Match is strictly prohibited. This means you cannot rob or kill anyone without quality roleplay and or purpose.

Powergaming derives from Fail RP where a person benefits from abusing an in-game mechanism. Example: If you turn in a job to an NPC and instead of the job completing, you can keep turning it in for rewards is considered power gaming. Or knowing an exploit to a car repair job and using it to your advantage to gain in game cash faster than normal

Fail Roleplay is the disregard of abiding realism when in roleplay. This includes OOC AND TROLLING. You are to remain IN your character while in the dreamworld.

ROLEPLAY SCENARIO RULES

Permadeath - Only you can choose to permanently unalive your own character. You must understand this means your character will be deleted and unable to be recovered. During a scene you must make this clear it is a permanent end to your character.

CRIMINAL SCENARIO RULES

Loot Boxing is not allowed.

• There must be roleplay with reason behind stealing from someone’s inventory.
• When robbing a player, you are not to demand anything that is not currently on their person. (Example: Houses, Money in Banks, Assets)

You may not rob or kill anyone that is AFK.

• If you approach someone who is not responding or moving, then leave them alone

In‌ any ‌situation‌, there‌ ‌can‌ ‌be‌ ‌a‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌6 ‌people‌ ‌involved‌ ‌on‌ the aggressor’s ‌side.‌ This is unless there is a large scale war happening or your city/nation is being invaded. You accept the risks of retaliation, regardless of their numbers, if you choose to engage in aggression. As‌ ‌a‌ ‌reminder,‌ ‌just‌ ‌because‌ ‌someone‌ ‌goes‌ ‌down‌ ‌‌after‌ ‌participating‌ ‌does‌ ‌not‌ ‌make‌ ‌them‌ ‌outside‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌number‌ ‌count.‌

Initiating hostile situations - When engaging in a hostile interaction, you must give more than a few words before any action is taken. It is important to always consider the underlying justification for your actions. Weapons should be the last resort.

Hostages - You must have an RP reason to take someone, else it will be considered Fail RP. Example of what not to do: “Hey, do you want to be a hostage?”

Hostage Time Limit - You may only keep someone hostage for 20 minutes if the scene has not progressed in the way of RP. An example would be if the rescue party (PD, Faction, etc.) does not show up to the scene.

Society Rules

Currently societies (gangs, townships, etc) may have up to 10 members. As the World grows, this number will grow with it. For example, This is to prevent an imbalance of a 30 vs 3 battle. We both know how that will go down.

In order to establish a large organization and show on the world map, your society must have a minimum establishment of one real-life week as a group building lore across the land. Once this time period has elapsed, the leader is permitted to submit an application through Discord to become a registered group.

Upon approval, the group will be included in the mix for private script-writing sessions, and shown on the minimap in their desired location. Only the highest ranking staff members of the server (founder+) can approve and have knowledge of the groups within these applications to prevent metagaming.

Society Tiers - Within DreamTale there will be 2 Tiers of groups:

Tier 1 - These will be a Nation or Network that can have up to 30 people. A Network is a collection of gangs, a Nation is a collection of towns. Due to the size, Tier 1 groups will require a ticket in the Discord to establish.

Tier 2 - These will be individual gangs or towns that can have up to 10 people. These are not required to submit a ticket.

Over time, a Tier 2 can become a Tier 1.
